My only concern about the quincies is lack of variety of abilities, I have no doubt that there are quincies that can pose a threat to shinigami captains. I wonder if they really want to fight shinigami though, they can keep killing hollows without confronting shinigami if this is what they’re trying to accomplish, killing as many hollows as they can. They didn’t even attack two feeble shinigami directly and used a hollow bait instead. Actually it’s also a mystery why they tried to kill insignificant shinigami, what’s the point, why did they target shinigami all of a sudden?
The only reason that comes to mind is Ichigo. Are they trying to distract Ichigo and keep him away from his house? Do they have a plan about Ichigo’s family? Can they force Ichigo to fight on their side by threatening to hurt his sisters? The antagonists made their move right after Ichigo got his powers back, apparently they’re interested in him. I guess kidnapping Ichigo’s sisters would be repetitive and a bit cheesy though.
